The Sun is an online newspaper that is known for its many sensational news stories. The Sun has a habit of reporting on predictions of the future reported by self proclaimed time travelers. The year of 2023 has just begun, and already The Sun has reported on a number of these predictions whose dates are quickly approaching. One thing that fascinates me is the fact that these predictions each come from different self-proclaimed time travelers, and that these time travelers don't even reference each others predictions. One thing that really tickles my imagination is to think about what the world would be like if all of these predictions came true and if all of these time travelers were real. 

This post will explore this idea in detail, with visual depictions of these predictions created using Avyn (Stable Diffusion 2) and an epic story based on these predictions created using ChatGPT. 

The 2023 Prediction Timeline

Today I have read multiple articles from The Sun featuring predictions of the future reported by supposed time travelers. Here is an organized list of dates in chronological order and a short description of the stated predictions for each date.

January 16, 2023 - A genetic enhancement procedure that enhances a human to gain superhuman longevity, superhuman strength, and smarter descendants will take place for the first time ever. This will eventually lead to all of humanity being enhanced by the year 2054.

March 14, 2023 - The largest tsunami in human history, known as The Great Wave, will strike the west coast of the United States.

March 23, 2023 - Earth will be attacked by a hostile, planet destroying, alien race. Luckily a benevolent alien, whose planet was destroyed by the hostile alien race, will come to Earth and take .1% of the population to another habitable planet.

April 28, 2023 - The first mutant child with brand new organs will be born. This child will be the first of many to come.

May 7, 2023 - A deadly disease known as VorcenX will be released from melted ice caps. The disease will have a 40% fatality rate.

October 30, 2023 - A "new world" will be discovered in the Amazon Rainforest, that is home to a previously unknown race of human beings.

November 3rd, 2023 - The first ever interstellar war will take place with an alien race of beings known as "The Others". 

Story

As the year 2023 began, eight teenagers were excited to see what the future held. Each of them had their own unique personalities, names, backgrounds, and interests. There was Jack, the jock who always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Emily was the studious one, always busy with her studies and determined to be the best. Alex was the rebel, always pushing the limits and living on the edge. Rachel was the artistic one, always creating something new and beautiful. Jason was the quiet one, always observing and thinking before he acted. Mia was the adventurous one, always eager to explore and try new things. Ben was the loyal one, always sticking by his friends and willing to do whatever it took to help them. And then there was Sarah, the virtuous one, always striving to do the right thing and make the world a better place.

As the year progressed, strange and terrifying events began to occur. On January 16, 2023, a genetic enhancement procedure was offered to the public for the first time. One of the teenagers, Alex, was eager to be one of the first test subjects and gain superhuman abilities. However, the procedure did not go as planned and Alex had an allergic reaction to some of the chemicals used. Despite the efforts of the medical team, Alex died a horrible death.

The teenagers were devastated by the loss of their friend, but they knew they had to keep moving forward. However, they were soon faced with another terrifying event. On March 14, 2023, The Great Wave, the largest tsunami in human history, struck the west coast of the United States. One of the teenagers, Emily, was caught in a massive riptide and was shred to pieces by the waves.

As the world tried to recover from the devastation caused by the tsunami, they were faced with yet another threat. On March 23, 2023, Earth was attacked by a hostile, planet destroying, alien race. The teenagers were terrified as they watched the skies turn red with the violence of the attack. However, just when all seemed lost, a benevolent alien arrived on Earth, their own planet having been destroyed by the same hostile race. The benevolent alien offered to take .1% of the population to another world, but unfortunately, the teenagers were unable to board the ship in time. One of them, Jason, was shot and killed by a hostile alien soldier. Despite the heavy damages caused by the conflict, a small percentage of humankind survived and struggled to rebuild their broken lives.

The remaining teenagers were shaken by the loss of another one of their own, but they continued to move forward. On April 28, 2023, one of the teenagers, Rachel, gave birth to the first mutant child with brand new organs. The birthing process was arduous and Rachel died in the process, but her mutant child was the first of many to come.

As the year continued, another deadly threat emerged. On May 7, 2023, a disease known as VorcenX was released from melted ice caps. The disease had a 40% fatality rate and one of the teenagers, Mia, caught it. She was isolated from her peers in quarantine and died a horrible and lonely death.

The loss of another friend was almost too much for the remaining teenagers to bear, but they knew they had to keep going. On October 30, 2023, a "new world" was discovered in the Amazon Rainforest, home to a previously unknown race of human beings. One of the teenagers, Ben, accidentally offended a member of this new race and was ceremonially slaughtered by them.

As the year came to an end, the teenagers were faced with one final, terrifying event. On November 3rd, 2023, the first ever interstellar war took place with an alien race known as "The Others". One of the teenagers, Jack, was drafted into the war and fought bravely to protect his home. In the end, he sacrificed himself to save Earth and all of humankind.

Sarah, the most virtuous of the group and the last surviving member, mourned the loss of her friends and struggled to come to terms with all that had happened. However, her kindness was not overlooked. On December 16, 2023 she was blessed to be one of the few humans rescued by the benevolent alien, who had returned to save more survivors. As she looked towards the future, staring out the window of the alien's ship, Sarah couldn't help but wonder what would happen next.
