How Does Time Travel Work In OK K.O.?

How Does Time Travel Work In OK K.O.?

About

This article is not AI generated. The goal of this article is to explain how time travel works in the "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!" universe. I have not seen every episode of the series, so my assessment of how time travel works in the series is based on the few examples of it that I've seen so far.

Why Should You Care About How Time Travel Works

Understanding how time travel works in the series can help you better understand time travel centric episodes that might otherwise be confusing. If you want to write OK K.O. fan fiction that features time travel that is accurate to what is presented in the show, it is important to know how time travel in the show actually works. I personally find breaking down how fictional time travel systems work to be a rather fascinating pastime.

I hope that you are intrigued and entertained by this article.

How To Time Travel

Time capsules are a form of special technology from the future used by the Hue Troop to travel through time. In order to activate a time capsule, all you have to do is throw it to the ground. Once thrown the time capsule opens up and spawns a flat, shimmering, vertically standing, rectangular portal that can be used to travel forward or backward through time.

How Is Memory Affected By Time Travel

Characters seem to remember the events of both the unaltered and altered timeline (even characters who didn't time travel seem to remember events from the unaltered timeline). I am not entirely sure why this is the case, but in the Red Action trilogy of episodes that focus on time travel this always seems to be a factor.

Are There Alternate Timelines

K.O. in the episode "Red Action 3: Grudgement Day" says that alternate timelines don't exist. This implies that any change made to the timeline via time travel doesn't create a split timeline and instead just alters the history of the main timeline.

Conclusion

You can time travel to the past or the future in the OK K.O. verse by throwing a time capsule against the ground to open a rectangular time portal. People for whatever reason will remember both the events of the altered and unaltered timeline. There are no alternate timelines as all changes made to history just affect the main timeline and do not the split the timeline.

I hope you had a fun time reading this article and that you learned something new about the series.

Do OK K.O. & Breaking Bad Exist In The Same Multiverse?

Do OK K.O. & Breaking Bad Exist In The Same Multiverse?

About

This article is not AI generated. One of my friends asked me on Discord if the character Heisenberg from "Breaking Bad" was inside of the series "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!" or not. In this article, we will explore whether or not the OK K.O. verse and the Breaking Bad verse exist in the same multiverse.

Magikarp Is The Key

The character Heisenberg from Breaking Bad appears in an episode of the web series "Camp Camp" called "Cookin Cookies".

In the intro for "Camp Camp", a magikarp can be seen being held by one of the series' main characters.

Magikarp is a water pokemon from the series "Pokemon", which exists in a greater Pokemon multiverse.

In the "Ben 10: Omniverse" episode "Rook Tales", a magikarp can be seen being fished out of the water. For the sake of argument we will say that the existence of magikarp in both series ("Camp Camp" and "Ben 10: Omniverse") acts as the connective tissue that cements them as existing in the same multiverse as the "Pokemon" franchise.

In the episode "Alien X-Tinction" of "Ben 10 (2016)", it is established that every Ben 10 series exists in the same multiverse.

In the "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!" episode "Crossover Nexus", K.O. and Ben 10 team up to fight a villain named Strike (who has been stealing the powers of characters from across the multiverse). The connective multiversal chain that connects "Breaking Bad" to "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!"essentially goes as follows: "Breaking Bad" -> "Camp Camp" -> "Pokemon" -> "Ben 10: Omniverse" -> "Ben 10 (2016)" -> "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!".

Conclusion

While it might be a bit of a stretch, it can be argued (debatably so) that "Breaking Bad" and "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!" do co-exist in the same multiverse. There are actually a few different ways you can try to connect these worlds together, but I personally found this theory to be the most interesting one. If you would like to see me attempt this challenge again with a different theory, let me know in the comments section below and follow the blog for more cool articles like this one.

The President Of The Universe's Power Is Limited

The President Of The Universe's Power Is Limited

About

This article is not AI generated. This article is about how the President Of The Universe's power is limited. The President Of The Universe is an extremely powerful character from the series "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!".

Who Is The President Of The Universe?

The President Of The Universe is a deity in the OK K.O. verse. He admires heroism and he wants the world to be as fun as possible. He created glorbs, the source of everyone's powers in the OK K.O. verse.

The creator of OK K.O. has stated that the President Of The Universe is all powerful.

The Limits Of The President Of The Universe's Power

Many people have questioned whether or not the President Of The Universe is truly all powerful. In a previous blog post, I questioned whether or not the President Of The Universe is all powerful in just the universe he rules over, or in all universes across the multiverse. While researching this topic, I discovered a very interesting line from the episode "GarQuest".

In the episode "GarQuest", the President Of The Universe informs Gar that as the President Of The Universe he isn't allowed to interfere in earthly affairs. This actually explains so much about the series as a whole. The President Of The Universe doesn't get involved in most situations on Earth, because his role (his title) forbids him from doing so.

The President Of The Universe might be all powerful, but if he wants to keep his title he can't actually use his power to interfere in earthly affairs.

Conclusion

The President Of The Universe is an all-powerful deity, but he can't interfere in earthly affairs if he wants to keep his title. This puts a solid limit on he can use his power, which is relevant for fan theories and versus battle debates featuring the President Of The Universe. I am excited to see what else can be unearthed about the President Of The Universe overtime, as I continue to dig into OK K.O. lore.

Life Enchantments In OK K.O.! : How They Work & What They Do

Life Enchantments In OK K.O.!: How They Work & What They Do

About

This article is not AI generated. In yesterday's blog post, I discussed AU magic in the series "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!". Today I am going to be discussing a different type of magic in the series: life enchantments.

This article will explain everything that I know about life enchantments, based on what I've seen and heard about them so far in the series. This article also includes my personal thoughts on life enchantments in the series.

What Are Life Enchantments?

Life enchantments are a form of magic that can be used to transform an inanimate object into a living being. When an object is brought to life with a life enchantment it gains two eyes, a mouth, a personality, and the ability to levitate. Objects brought to life with enchantments aren't necessarily loyal to their creators.

Who Is Punchy?

Punchy is a punching bag that was enchanted by an evil sensei. Punchy's creator was defeated by P.O.I.N.T. Now Punchy works as a punching bag in the plaza's fitness dojo run by K.O.'s mother.

Punchy is the main character that you can train your combos with in the OK K.O. videogame: "OK K.O.!: Let's Play Heroes!". He is one of the most notable characters in the series, that we know of, who was brought to life with a life enchantment.

My Thoughts On Life Enchantments

I think life enchantment is a neat concept that, as far as I'm aware, isn't heavily explored in the series. I think there is a lot that can be done with this concept in OK K.O. fan fiction to expand upon it. While it may not be as powerful AU Magic, I think it could have a lot of interesting uses in-universe.

I would love to read some fan fiction that focuses on a main character who was brought to life using a life enchantment, whether they be a hero or a villain. I would like to know if a character like this could earn a pow card or not, or if they could develop a power. If you know of any fan fiction stories like this, feel free to post about them in the comments section below so that I can check them out.

Conclusion

Life enchantments are a type of magic that can bring inanimate objects to life. Punchy is the only character I know of in the series who was brought to life via life enchantments. I would love to see more characters like Punchy be made by the OK K.O. fan community, and to see said characters featured in fun stories.

The Mystery Of AU Magic: The Most Powerful Magic In OK K.O.

The Mystery Of AU Magic: The Most Powerful Magic In OK K.O.

About

This article is not AI generated. This article explains what AU Magic (AUM) is, speculates on who outlawed AUM, lists a number of possible reasons for why AUM was outlawed, speculates on why the President Of The Universe didn't just erase AUM from existence, and speculates on what exactly happened a decade ago to cause AUM to be outlawed in the OK K.O. verse.

What Is AU Magic (AUM)?

AU Magic, also known as Alternate Universe Magic (AUM), is a type of outlawed magic that can create and explore alternate universes. AUM was first introduced in the episode "OK A.U.!". Enid mentions in said episode that AUM was outlawed ten years ago. This implies that something must have happened a decade prior to the start of the series that made it necessary for AUM to be outlawed in the first place.

Who Outlawed AUM?

The OK K.O. government seems to be one that rules over the verse as a whole. The creator of the show stated that the President Of The Universe got elected to his position by being an all powerful deity. The OK K.O. verse seems to be one where the person in charge is literally the one with the most power.

The President Of The Universe more than likely had a say in the government's decision to outlaw AUM.

Serious Reasons For Outlawing AUM

The ability to make and travel between universes creates interesting problems for the government of the OK K.O. verse to deal with. Magic users could potentially use AUM to bring money or resources from other universes back into the prime universe, which could potentially destroy the economy. If someone creates a particularly evil or hostile alternate universe, then said universe might be able to use AUM to invade the prime universe.

I could spend all day listing the many reasons why the government outlawed AUM, but I think the main reason is probably because a universe based government has no jurisdiction over other universes. AUM could be a very easy way for criminals to avoid arrest by fleeing to another universe of their own creation. The OK K.O. verse is full of super villains.

It would be practically impossible for the government to deal with said villains, if they could come and go from the prime universe as they pleased. The prime universe might not just be the limit of the government's jurisdiction, but also the limit of the President Of The Universe's power. He is stated by the creator of the series to be all powerful, but it is unclear whether or not he is all powerful in all universes or just in the prime universe.

While it may sound silly to imagine that an all powerful being wouldn't be all powerful in all universes, that happens to be the case with the Infinity Gauntlet in Marvel Comics (as the Infinity Stones only work in the universe they originated from). If the President Of The Universe isn't all powerful in all universes, the creation of other universes could be a legitimate threat to his power and to the legitimacy of his rule over the universe itself.

If AUM Is Such A Big Threat, Why Doesn't The All Powerful President Of The Universe Just Erase It From Existence?

The President Of The Universe is all powerful and could likely wish AUM out of existence in the prime universe. The President Of The Universe mentions, in the episode "Let's Fight To The End", that he created glorbs to make the universe as fun as possible. Based on this statement we can see that the President Of The Universe's actions are motivated by his desire to make things more fun.

He likely outlawed AUM because of the obvious threat it poses to the verse, but didn't completely erase AUM from existence because he can see that it makes the universe more fun. This same logic applies to why the President Of The Universe doesn't just erase villains from existence or depower them (He was the one who empowered them in the first place). He thinks the battle between super powered heroes and villains is fun, so he allows for said battles to continue.

If the use of AUM stops being fun, and the President Of The Universe is truly all powerful, then the President Of The Universe likely would use his power to make it fun again.

Why Was AUM Outlawed Ten Years Ago?

This is the most fascinating question regarding AUM that I can think of. It feels somewhat obvious why the government would want to outlaw AUM. It feels a lot less obvious why AUM was outlawed a decade ago specifically.

K.O. was at most one year old when AUM was outlawed, but characters like Rad and Enid would have been alive during a time when it wasn't illegal to use AUM. It makes you wonder how common place AUM might have been the years before it was outlawed, and if there happened to be an inciting incident a decade ago that made it necessary for AUM to be outlawed.

A Fan Theory : The Inciting Incident - AUM Outlawed!

Strike is the main antagonist of the episode "Crossover Nexus". He uses dark magic and has the ability to travel to other universes. He is an adult that is significantly older than K.O., and he likely would have been a young adult a decade ago.

It may be possible that Strike is from K.O.'s universe. Over a decade ago, he could have studied AUM at a witch college (Like the one Enid goes to in the episode "Thank You For Watching The Show"). He could have been talented with technology, like Dendy, but been less magically gifted than his peers.

He could have become jealous of the power of his peers and wanted to claim their power for himself (Just like Shadowy Venomous). He could have used his technical know how to create a prototype of the weapons he would later use in "Crossover Nexus" to steal the magical power of some of his fellow students. Their magical power combined with his feelings of greed and jealousy could have unlocked his latent magical potential, allowing him to master AUM.

Using his newfound power he could have wreaked havoc across the school, until P.O.I.N.T thwarted his attack and forced him to retreat into the multiverse. This attack could have been the inciting incident that led to the government outlawing AUM, now that they were painfully aware of how dangerous AUM could be in the wrong hands.

Conclusion: TL;DR

AUM is a type of outlawed magic that can create and explore alternate universes. The President Of The Universe likely outlawed AUM, because of the many dangers it poses to the prime universe. He didn't erase AUM from the prime universe, because he can see that it makes the universe more fun (which is his ultimate goal).

Strike might have even played a role in the President Of The Universe's decision to outlaw AUM, but that's just a fan theory.

K.O. Is More Powerful Than An Invincible God

K.O. Is More Powerful Than An Invincible God

About

This article is not AI generated. I have been making a lot of posts recently where I power scale characters from the series "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes!". The title of this post is no exaggeration.

The goal of this article is to explain how K.O. is more powerful than an invincible god.

Who Is Invincible God Aquarius?

Aquarius is a character from the series "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes" who is described by the creator of the series as an invincible god. His status as an invincible god is not limited to just an author statement. In the Plaza Tournament held during the episode "Let's Fight To The End!", Aquarius is listed as an invincible god on the tournament bracket.

The next section of this article will explain why the idea of Aquarius actually being an invincible god isn't that absurd in the OK K.O. verse. The next section is important because if you can't accept the fact that Invincible God Aquarius is actually an invincible god, then you won't be able to accept that K.O. is more powerful than an invincible god.

That's Ridiculous, Why Should We Believe Aquarius Is An Invincible God?

Gods in OK K.O. are actually a lot more common than you think. The President Of The Universe (an all powerful deity) and Corn Shepherd are both referred to as deities. Cosma isn't described as a deity, but she can quite literally warp reality itself and devour planets.

Even Enid, one of the show's main protagonists, is shown to be able to channel the divine energy of Corn Shepherd in the episode "Beach Episode". Invincibility also isn't something that is unheard of in the OK K.O. verse.

The character Holo Jane has invincibility has one of her main abilities. With this in mind, the idea that Aquarius is an invincible god isn't too far fetched for the OK K.O. verse at all. The next section of this article will explain the significance of the Plaza Tournament and hero levels in the OK K.O. verse.

The next section is important, because it provides necessary context for understanding how power is measured in the OK K.O. verse (which will be important later when we compare K.O.'s power to Aquarius' power).

The Plaza Tournament & The Importance Of Hero Levels

In the Plaza Tournament, all hero and villain levels were reset to 0. By progressing through the tournament, characters were able to increase the absolute value of their level every time they defeated an opponent in battle. Levels in the OK K.O. verse determine power.

Characters with higher absolute level values are simply more powerful than other characters. This power system is an established part of the OK K.O. verse and is used as an important plot point in multiple episodes (especially the episode "You're Level 100!"), in which characters are forced to either level up or team up with other characters to overcome enemies with greater levels than their own. The next section will explain how it is possible for someone who is described as being invincible can be defeated in the OK K.O. verse.

The next section is important, because if you are unable to accept that an invincible character can be defeated then you won't be able to accept that K.O. could defeat an invincible god.

Is It Possible To Defeat Someone Who Is Invincible In The OK K.O. Verse?

Aquarius and Dogmun faced off against each other in the Plaza Tournament as level 0 combatants. Despite Aquarius' title and status as an invincible god, he was defeated by Dogmun. You could argue that Aquarius wasn't truly invincible, because he was defeated by Dogmun

You could also argue that Dogmun is simply more powerful than Aquarius, which allows him to supersede Aquarius' invincibility. For the sake of this article, I will be assuming that the second argument is true. The next section of this article will provide additional evidence to support the second argument.

The next section of this article is important, because it helps to defend the idea that character levels supersede character abilities in OK K.O., which is the crux of the argument for how K.O. is more powerful than an invincible god.

Characters In OK K.O. Can Have Incredible Abilities But Have A Low Level

Holo Jane's ability makes her invincible to all attacks, and yet her hero level is 3 (Her level can be seen on her pow card in the episode "No More Pow Cards"). Being invincible doesn't make a character necessarily the most powerful, nor does it mean that they have a particularly high hero level.

Another great example of a character with a low level but an incredible ability is Jethro, a villain from the series who can move at light speed (as seen in the episode "Let's Meet Sonic") but has a level of -1 (villains have negative level values in OK K.O.). It sounds absurd, but it is actually incredibly consistent for characters with incredible powers to not necessarily be all that powerful in the OK K.O. verse. The next section of this article will compare the levels of K.O., Dogmun, and Aquarius to determine which character is the most powerful.

The next section of this article is important, because it directly compares K.O.'s level to Aquarius' and shows that K.O. is objectively more powerful than Aquarius is.

Conclusion: K.O. > Dogmun > Aquarius

At the end of the series, K.O. possesses a hero level of 100. Dogmun, the character that defeated Aquarius in the Plaza Tournament, consistently has a hero level of 1 throughout the entire series. Invincible God Aquarius has a hero level of 0.

K.O. at the beginning of the series is a level 0 hero, meaning that K.O. and Aquarius were actually evenly matched at the start of the series in terms of power. It is insane to think that K.O. started off his journey being as powerful as an invincible god, and finished the journey being significantly more powerful than an invincible god by a considerable margin. Thanks to Aquarius' incredibly low level, it could be argued that every character in OK K.O. is bare minimum as powerful as an invincible god.

My Three Favorite Things About OK K.O.

My Three Favorite Things About OK K.O.

About

This article is not AI generated. Recently I have been making more and more posts on the blog about OK K.O. that mainly focus on power scaling. Today I want to do something different.

You may be wondering why I've suddenly been so interested in OK K.O. recently, and what elements of OK K.O. I like the most. If so, then this article is for you. In this blog post, I am going to be breaking down my three favorite things about the OK K.O. franchise.

Everything Is Canon

The creator of OK K.O. has publicly stated that every alternate universe of OK K.O. that you can imagine is canon. There is even an entire episode dedicated to this concept, in which a warlock travels across the multiverse and visits many of the exciting OK K.O. alternate universes that exist out in the cosmos. I think this is a very interesting idea and it makes every OK K.O. fan work feel that much more important, as every fan work exists in the canon of the series.

Making An OC, Is Easy As 1, 2, 3

There is an official original character creation sheet for OK K.O. that can be used to quickly and easily create your own OK K.O. characters in any simple paint program. There are a lot of cool fan created OK K.O. characters that you can find with a quick and easy Google search. It can be fun to read about all the neat characters other people have made, and it can be just as fun (if not more) to use the original character creation sheet to make your own.

This ties in very neatly with the "everything is canon" point that was made earlier. There is a certain in-universe validity to all of these fan characters, including the ones that you make yourself. Feel free to have fun and start creating your own original characters and universes to add to the OK K.O. multiverse.

The Power Scaling Is Nuts

OK K.O. has a builtin power system, where more powerful characters have a greater hero/villain level (when comparing the absolute values of their levels). The lore features multiple characters who are literal gods, who can warp reality, who are invincible, move at light speed (or faster), who can travel the multiverse, and/or can defeat beings who are described as being invincible. What is wild is that there are plenty of characters with great feats and low levels, which has wild power scaling implications for characters who have less feats but much higher levels.

I recommend taking a look at OK K.O. from this perspective. I think you will have a lot of fun trying to unravel the mystery of just how powerful the OK K.O. universe actually is.
